== Kokonotsuba mod tools guide == To log in - access [Admin] at the top right of the page on the board among the other links. The [Admin] (koko.php?mode=admin) is the hub for mod-related actions like logging in/out, as well as finding and accessing various mod pages. Note that not all of these tools may be available to you because they can depend on your role (janitor, mod, admin, etc.) The menu items will be displayed above the orange bar, like [Manage bans], [Manage posts], [Manage deleted posts], etc. Mod tools on the board will only be visible from the live frontend - the html pages will only contain user-facing features. The live frontend can be accessed on [Admin] on the link bar or just be going to koko.php?page=0. Entering threads (koko.php?res=123) also counts as a live frontend and tools will show up there as well if you're logged in Next to posts theres a blue triangle - click that and a menu will open with actions that can be done on the post. If you're logged in and on a live page, you'll see options like Delete, Warn, Ban, etc. Deleting a post will hide it from users, but its not truly deleted (more on that later)*. Next to the file properties there's a [DF] button, which will delete the attachment*. Muting will ban the user for a short duration (typically 40 minutes), so it's a good idea to use it on users who are spamming Warning a user will show a message to the warned user and prevent them from posting until they've seen it. You can also public warn, which will Users can be banned, with you being able to specify the ban length and range. Regarding range bans, you must tick the 'Global ban' check box. The range has to be formatted with a single . with the range you want to ban. E.g to ban all IPs from '127.0.0.***', then put '127.0.0.' into the ban form. Move thread is a feature that allows staff to move threads. You select the board you want to move the thread to from the radio selections. The 'leave shadow thread' checkbox will leave the original thread up but locking it and leaving a post with a link to the moved thread. If that checkbox is unticked the original thread isn't left behind on the board, a special redirect feature will automatically redirect users trying to access the url of the old thread to the new one Autosage prevents the thread from getting bumped. Locking a thread prevents non-staff users from posting to it. Stickying a thread will place it at the top of the board regardless of bump order - it wont show up at the top of the overboard, though. *When you delete a post it doesn't get deleted right away. To view posts that have been deleted - go to [Manage deleted posts]. On that page you can Purge posts, which will permanently delete post as well as its file. Posts can be restored by using the Restore button which will un-hide the post Janitors may not have access to post purging. Its important to immedietly purge illegal content after deleting it if you have access to the purge button. If not, a moderator or above can purge it when they're available
